Family will always be in Disneyland

Back when everyone was all excited about what the 50th at Disneyland was going to be like I got an email asking if I would like to submit pictures to be added to photo mosaics that would be placed in the park. So I uploaded some pictures and did not hear back from Disneyland. We went to Disneyland just before the actual 50th took place. thought wow would that not have been neat to have seen us in those photo mosaics. Then as we were getting ready to go back a year later. just before the 50th ended. I got an email telling me that two of my pictures were chosen and were in to photo mosaics. So off with my camera we went and I tracked down our little family in Stitch by Space Mountain.
The picture was said to be near his hand on te left of the mosaic and by the bottom. So we all stood there and looked. And Looked. can you see it yet. it is near stitches finger.

This is the picture that they used. It was the one of all of the grandkids and Minnie Mouse at Goofy's Kitchen a few years earlier.

After finding the one in Disneyland I knew that the other photo mosaic was in California Adventure. The mosaic was of Chicken Little. Great Movie. So we looked and Looked and Looked. Then we found it over by the Muppets 3D show.
The letter said that we were near the stop sign at the top. Well Chicken little is over a bench. So there I stood with my camera and this is what I found. Do you see us? this one is harder.

Well here is a close up of what we saw. Once again the same picture was used all the kid with Minnie at the Goofy's Kitchen. I think that it is so neat that the kids have that to share with their family some day.
Well, there is our clam to fame. The kids are forever in Disneyland, 24/7. Smiling at everyone that passes by them. They are part of true Disney Magic. And that is priceless!

How funy life is!!

I was talking to my mother in law and she told me of this doll that she had it is like 20 years old never been out of the box and some Budweiser mugs that are really old too. Thought she would sell them on eBay. They are worth nothing yet. We have Lego's and other things that are worth a great deal. It is funny how we place a value on things that we like and do not like.

I can not believe that Halloween is coming up. So excited for that. The costumes have been bought. And am getting ready to decorate the house for the spooky fun. Logan can not wait to be Mr. Incredible and Lexi is going to be Minnie Mouse.
I still can not believe how big they are getting. I even ran out and got fun patterns for the kids to use when we carve the pumpkins. It should be a blast. We are going to have a Hansen Party. And will carve pumpkins and play find the money in the straw and have dinner. Then the smarts will also be having a carving thing on Sunday before Halloween. I do not know about you but it feels like once Aug. is over that Christmas is right there staring me in the face. Lots to do with Lexi turning three in November and then it is Thanksgiving and BAM!! it is Christmas!

You meet the nicest people in the funniest places!!

One of my favorite places to go and visit is Disneyland. So it is only natural that I would want to collect things that related to Walt Disney and the Disney company. I love disney pins. Collect many of them. I love the movies that have been put out by them. The games and websites put out by disney. So you are probable asking yourself, What does this have to do with making friends. I have meet some of the nicest people while on these websites. Their friendship is fun and up beat and keeps a smile on my face. Plus honestly who does not feel like a kid when they go to Disneyland.
To all my Disneyland friends HOLA!!!

More layouts and more life on the plate!

I still can not believe that Logan is in first grade he was so excited to go. Now that school is getting into our daily life Logan got a 100% on his first spelling test. He is making lots of new friends and loves his teacher.
Lexi misses her brother and has a hard time when the bus takes him to school. She is my shopping buddy, errand running buddy, house cleaning and tv buddy. Although she hates to see him go and loves to see him come home the two of them can sure still fight.
To help pass time and to wear my kids out. Jared and I have put them into some classes. Lexi is now in dance class we will see if she likes it. I think mom is learning more about tap and jazz then she is. Logan is taking Karate with a friend of his from school last year. He will also be taking soccer and will start soon.
I completed two more los for the store that i create los for. http://devinememories.net
Jared is back on the streets and all of the officers are buzzing about the guy that they caught. The hope is this guy will be the Baseline rapist/ killer. He loves his squad and is the senior officer on it.
Hope all is well!

Being sick is no fun!

Being sick is no fun. For the last week I have been flat on my back. I had a double ear infection and bronchitis. That was sure fun. But I can not believe that Logan started first grade. His back pack is a Lightening Mcqueen Backpack. He loves it. That is pretty much what we are up to.

Above are my two most recent layouts. I have a great time creating them and enjoy sharing thm with others.

Chase is now at the MTC. He says that he is so busy that he does not have any time to be homesick. He already can write his name in the Ukrane lanuage and know the alphabet. He also has already said a prayer in the language. Not bad for being there for less than a month.

Hugs to all!

Birthday and good byes

This year was an interesting birthday. The Friday before my birthday my sister was sealed to her family in the Arizona Temple. I was so excited for them. I could not help but to cry as I sat there and watched them get sealed together and be a forever family. Paige and Cole were so cute. Chase and I could not help but to cry as we gave each other a hug. This has been well worth the fifteen year wait. Then we had a going away and a congratulation party for chase and his parents. I can not believe that Chase has now left to serve a two year mission for our church in the Kiev, Ukraine mission. I know that I have told him how proud I am that he has chosen to serve a mission. As the time got closer I realized how much I was going to miss him. He not only is my nephew but he is like my little brother and good friend. He and Jared are good buddies also. As I sat in the chapel and listen to him give his talk I realized that I was no longer looking at a cute boy but I was looking at a fine young man. I man that I hope that my son will emulate and follow in his foot steps.Sunday was my birthday. I do not think that I have ever cried so much on my birthday. Tears of happiness, sadness and hope for the future.

Happy Forth of July

On July 1st I took the kids pictures. I think that they turned out really cute. Logan and Lexi loved getting the shirts from the Disney Store. Logan's shirt said Loyal American with pluto on it and Lexi's shirt said American Girl with Minnie Mouse.
Jared took the kids to see the movie cars. it was a very cute movie and I think that everyone should see this movie.
We had family that came out to our house for the Anthem Independance day celebration. Every year we have fireworks and rides and a band. At the start of the day we went to the community center to play at the water park and at the end of the day we ended up at the park for the fun. It was a fun day and I loved watching the fire works with Logan and Lexi.

It would be so nice if something would make sense for a change!! - Alice in Wonderland

Lately I would say this statement fits my life. I love spending time with my children their friends and my family.

As a child I would go to the summer movie days with my friends. This was at a time where the parents could drop you off and come back when the movies would let out and not really worry if you were going to be taken. So now that my two children are old enough to go to the movies ( well one is anyway!) I must go to the movies with them. I have to say that is has been a fun experience. Every Wednesday I take the kids to see the movies of the week and then let them choose which restaurant they would like to go to. We usually end up at Mc Donalds, Taco Bell, Peter Piper Pizza, or Chick fil a.

Today was a McDonalds day. The kids really wanted to go to this one that is near the theater that has a big play ground. While we were there my youngest was bitten by a little boy. This children that saw it thought it was this one little boy. I asked the little boy if he had bitten my little girl on the back. He did not respond so I said in a loud but calm tone " Who does this boy belong to?" No one answered me so I said in a louder voice ( still very clam ) "Who does this boy belong to he has bitten my daughter?" A man then explained that the boy was his and that he does not bite so it could not have been him. I said ok that the children had told me that he was the little boy and thanks for telling me. Another parent stopped me and said that there was a little boy that looked just like the other one and that his grandparent had run out of the restaurant with the little boy when my daughter started screaming and saying she had been bitten. Feeling bad that I might have offend the other little boy's dad, I walked over to him and started to apologize for any inconvenience or upset for questioning his son's biting habits. With that the smile that I had was wiped off my face with this man swearing at me and calling me names. I once again said how sorry that I was and that it was just a misunderstanding. He then replied that I was a crazy lady and that he was sick of me and hated that I had screamed at his child. I then once again said there must be an understanding that I had not yelled at his son. Only asked him a question and the in a raised voice so that parents could hear me asked who was his parent. With that the man responded with more lovely language name calling told me that he was going to get the manager if I did not leave him alone. I once again said that I was sorry that he was in my shoes I was sure that he would have acted the same way wanting to know how it was that had done that. He said more lovely things and I smiled at him and said, " Well, I am sorry." he gave me a dirty look and with that I packed up the children and left. I have seen that man there with his kid before so although the playground is great. I am not going there EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! Looking back on that today now that it is later, the swelling on my daughters back is going down and the bruise is now just teeth marks. I can say that I was the calm one in the situation and he was the jerk. I will more than likely see him on the news for being in a road rage tragedy.

On a lighter note, life is going great. I have many scrapbook los that I need to finish for the store that I am on their design team. It is a store in Gilbert titled Devine Memories. They have way cute stuff and everyone there is as sweet as apple pie. Well, it is almost dinner time. Now I just have to figure out what to make.
